The good thing is the amount of ***** at the bottom, folk are assuming there are brilliant teams above us, if either of the bottom 3 win and Charlton, Huddersfield and Stoke lose then the league table looks a lot different. That gap at the minute can easily be turned around and the GD is nothing when one team wins and the other loses.
I'd be disappointed if we went down looking at the fixtures. I know we've had a dreadful season results wise and it's a young team but I don't see that as an excuse not to get the points we need with the ten fixtures we have coming up.
That's why every point counts. When they were adrift before Christmas I was sickened by the late defeats and bad results but accepted them because I was resigned to relegation. Now they've given themselves a chance. I keep looking back counting the points dropped and the circumstances and think regardless of the off field shenanigans by the board the team haven't helped themselves on the pitch. The points dropped away at Cardiff and Blackburn and the two points dropped at home to a poor Reading team and then to lose a point and lose the way they did against Birmingham. It just makes them masters of their own downfall.
