With the greatest of respect, pulling Mads Andersen to pieces serves absolutely no useful purpose whatsoever. The lad himself and our coach won't need reminding how poor his defending has been when he's played in some games this season. Whoever controls the spreadsheet, must have seen something to prompt us to sign him. If I remember correctly, there was a time when even Ethan Pinnock wasn't getting into our team. We've got a very hectic few games coming up. God forbid, but if we get any injuries, Andersen would probably have to come back into the side. If and when he does , we have to hope that whilst on the sidelines, he's learned from his past mistakes. I have been critical of him in the past, but if he does have to play again this season, I for one will be hoping that his defensive abilities have improved and that he performs well for the team.
Life will be alot easier for him if he's not expected to pick the ball up on the 6 yard line and play us out. Never mind him learning from past mistakes. I hope our tactician has too.
Poor from the ref he was booked because a Boro player complained and barged him. Not seen anyone booked for that before this season. That said we have had far worse refs this season
When Shotton got away without being cautioned for his foul I said to our kid that we would get at least one yellow for a lesser offence.
To be fair, the ref did specifically tell him to go off the other way but he ignored him and kept going. He had to book him after he ignored a direct instruction.
You are supposed to go off the pitch at the closest point not the farthest like today, stupid rule but that's why he got booked!
