Close to MOTM for me. He makes our defence look a lot better. Love how gobby he is and how much chuntering he was doing to his team mates after we scored, probably telling them to stay switched on and see us home. The best of it all may have been second half when he went charging to right back position and did a perfect sliding tackle for a throw in.
Not good enough for the championship though these foreigners apparantly, they've no championship experience. Made two very expensive strikers look ordinary.
Outstanding today, along with Halme. Excellent from both of them. Special mention for Collins too, I’ve criticised him this season, especially after Portsmouth but these last two week he’s also been outstanding and this number one shirt is now his.
the thing is a goal keeper relies on a good defence in front of him and the defence need to be confident of the keeper behind them. If either of those ingredients are missing then its shaky at the back.
Whilst I totally agree with you, the mistakes at Pompy were indefensible. However, that’s the past and he’s been outstanding since and deserves all the credit. It looks like Struber has also accepted playing the ball around our area on goal kicks doesn’t work, Collins deserves credit for this also I think.
Top post. That’s been 1 of the 2 problems this season. Settled back 5 - never had it. That and individual errors - which isn’t helped by the first problem. A settled back 5, with good leadership and knows how each other play will do well. That’s why I think our defence in general will be ok next season if we’re in the Champ.
Been superb the last 3 games. I love his runs forward too, that cross he pinged in was brilliant and deserved someone getting on the end of it.
Big up for Halme for me playing where he should have been when Andersen kept getting picked. Solbauer is improving, like the way he brings the ball forward into attack , however I think fans are going a bit OTT at the minute with their opinions. Looks more composed than Diaby thats for sure but still fannies abart with it to much and lost possession out wide which could have cost us when a booit up field was the order of the day. Going in the reight direction though thats if he cuts art those one twos wit keeper.
Humble pie for me. Obviously getting of a plane and straight into the side didn't help him at the start of his time with us. Can't fault him now.
