We had a different formation, and my three centre backs performed well.

I'd wondered pre match what the plan was, and had palpitations when I saw J. Williams shown at centre back when I walked into the ground and saw the graphics on the telly's.

But watching the game, I thought Williams had played left back with Odour on the left side of the diamond.

Am I so blind I failed to observe that was meant to be 5-3-2??

Anyhow, it worked beautifully. That's the most solid we've looked defensively all season, and the lads deserve great credit. Back to back clean sheets, who'd have thought?!

Odour was definitely playing in midfield and Williams at left back regardless of what Struber says.

Didn't look like three centre backs to me.

It didn't look like 5-3-2 to me but I won't question Struber.

He might know where he told people to play but my eyes and your eyes tell us that they weren't playing in those positions, not at all.

I was sure we were playing a diamond type formation, just with a little more width.

He wasn’t though. He was playing wing back, as was Ludewig.

Odour was very far forward, however. A good indicator is who takes the throw ins. That was Oduor.

The formation must have looked different from the stands than it looked from the dugout.

Glad it wasn't just me then!

I definitely thought Odour played much wider than we've seen previously with the diamond, but if Williams was meant to be on the left side of three then he too was very wide and got forward plenty.

Again, no criticism - whatever the plan it worked very well!

Have we just unwittingly and without anyone actually knowing just played a version of 352 never seen before?

poke that Chris wilder and your overlapping centre half’s!

We've just played the sneaky version that has one of the cb's being a full back playing in the full back position and the wing back playing in midfield.

A lot of people think that's 442 but we are sneaky so it isnt. Next week we are playing without a keeper, Brad Collins will be striker. He will be positioned in front of our goal, wearing a goalkeeper dirt and using his hands but he's definitely playing as a striker honest. ;)

Looked like a diamond on the right, and a 442 on the left, with intermittent blasts of 532, 352, 433, and 424.

In other words, I've no bloody idea. Hopefully Minority Report will explain it. But to be honest, I don't much care - the 3 points is all that matters.

Clearly 5-3-2/3-5-2 to my eyes. Clarke and Ludewig wing backs. Halme central with Williams to his left and Sollbauer to his right.
