Playing at the weekend, really dont know which way I want this to go, Charlton win and it's harder for them to be dragged down into the fight, but it would make lutons chances of survival a lot less, Luton win, Charlton definitely looking over there shoulders but they too will be closer to having a chance of survival, a draw could be a good result but that depends on ourselves, I've confused myself their but I hope you get my drift
Draw is the ideal result - failing that a Luton win and keep Charlton in the mix. But even a Charlton win isnt a disaster as it keeps Luton in real trouble The good thing about these games with the bottom sides playing each other is someone is guaranteed to drop points ( although if you are a glass half empty person someone is bound to pick up points of course)
Equally important game for Charlton at Huddersfield though. Wigan play West Brom away, Hull entertain Leeds and Borough play Forest on Monday night. No easy games in that lot.
Perfect result for me would be us and Luton win, brings Stoke within 1 point of us. Would settle for Luton draw though
Definitely a draw. Although I think Charlton will probably be safe regardless as they’ve been far better than Middlesbrough & Hull in recent weeks & it’s a big ask for us & Luton to catch them
Hope can be a killer sometimes can’t it. Tbh I thought we would be down by Christmas the way we were going, before these 3 results I thought we were still down. Now there’s a little glimmer, like when you’ve two numbers and are waiting for the 3rd to be drawn.
I look at the fixtures and think we've a really good chance. It will be tough but I take heart from the games against Blackburn and Cardiff City before Christmas that we could easily have won. Yes the games against Reading, Luton, Stoke and Wigan will be key but I fancy us to give Cardiff City and Blackburn a good game too.
Having looked at other forums we're not one of the sides tipped to go down. We need to keep injury free but things are definitely looking up!
It all depends on the result we get. If we get three points then you only want a Luton win over Stoke. If we draw or lose then you’ve got everything crossed for a draw. Objective number one is to catch one of the teams outside the bottom three. That won’t happen if they’re picking up points. That’s why I’d probably rather there be a winner in the Huddersfield/Charlton game.
I see it differently, a draw is only 2 points to our rivals, a win for either is 3 points to our rivals.
