If we do manage to survive I wouldnt bet against them flogging woodrow, brown and mowatt and trying to survive again.
Possibly, I know pinnock didnt force a move or put a request in so we could have kept him for 6 months and sold in Jan, your right with lindsay he wouldnt talk about a new deal moore had 2 years left on his deal. The thing is with moore we got 2.5 million for our top scorer who still had 2 years left that's peanuts, we them replaced him with schmidt who 90% of the time is anonymous on the field.
If we do stay up then they're are absolutely proven correct - our aim at the start of the year would have been to do just that. As much as I would disagree strongly with how we have gone about it, you can't argue with the result. Fingers crossed.
But they did shift on the experience front. For me the only way they'd have been proven right was if we did it with the team we had at the start of the season
Me too. But he's played for Germany from U16 to U20 level. I would think he's on the radar of a lot of clubs with more pulling power than us, at higher levels. If we manage to stay in the Championship we may stand a chance. Little though it may be.
I would also like him to stay if we can avoid the drop. He has a look of willow from the 1988 film of the same name? Anyone else see the resemblance? Or just me?
We had some silly buggars on here. Especially as we signed him Wednesday and on Friday he was travelling to Pompey, so probably had one tiny training session since arriving in the country. It was daft to play him.
Why do we keep saying keep hold of Pinnock? We couldn't - he wanted to go, we did everything in our power to keep him.
Not speculative, you're on the button. Redrum has been saying that for the past 6 months no matter what evidence has been presented to him. Pinnock, Lindsay and Moore would have played out their contracts? What a load of ********, l have info from a current player saying the complete opposite and backing up every interview Conway has given about it.
I don't think any sane fan is moaning that we sold the lads who left when really we should have kept them - we aren't. What we are moaning about is the following: A) did we get a proper reflection of their value to us when selling? B) did we replace them correctly? The answer to A is probably not, the answer to B is most definitely not.
So a current player is saying those 3 wouldn't have given their best if we'd not let them go? Exactly. And it seems a very weak argument to say we couldn't get anyone with experience to replace them when Daniel was saying this was needed all the way back to the Tykes tv interview so there was plenty of time. Is your player friend saying that Pinnock would have sulked and not played if we'd refused his move for 6 months?
There have been serious grave errors made. Very serious. They need to be held accountable for that to ensure it does not happen again. the lads who are here have been fantastic this season and worked their knackers off, in spite of those serious errors. that doesn’t mean those errors can be ignored
To be fair you hammered cryne for selling conor and winnall both had only 6 months left and both wanted to leave. Yet defend this lot for selling players for peanuts with 2 years still left..
I agree with this entirely, but there’s a fine line between holding them to account and some posters using any opportunity to hammer them.
