Man city want Mason Holgate this summer and could offer John Stones as part of the deal

A few more millions to disappear into the void then.

When you look at the quality of those defenders you realise some are over hyping the current crop we've just sold.

They aren’t. The some you talk about just realise it was a bit daft selling your better defenders and replacing them with gambles.

The players hold all the cards.

As BFC fans we should be getting used to it by now.

The players hold all the cards only if the club allows them to BFC do other clubs don't

Im a bit confused. Your answer doesn’t really relate to your original point where you seemed to have a go at the fans.

    apologies if I’ve misinterpreted!

Roberts, Pinnock, Angus, Lindsay, Yiadom, Mawson. All gambles.

Even Stones and Holgate were gambles when they were picked up

    very true.

As was Kpekwa. Doesn’t make it it the best way to assemble a football team however

No, it’s based on the perceived value so we would still get our cut.

They were. But all of the names you mentioned were integrated into a back 4 bit by bit.

Roberts slotted in next to Mawson. When Mawson was sold, Angus moved alongside an established Roberts. Lindsay then replaced Roberts to partner Angus. Then when Angus was moved on, Pinnock partnered Lindsay.

And all of the above had the presence of Davies behind them.

We've never completely torn up the back 4 at the same time before.

Every signings a gamble but some are abit more of a gamble than others, players from poor leagues in Europe who have never been to england or played in one of our leagues are a big gamble some come off some dont.
Holgate was signed by Everton as potential Everton have to take the bulk of the credit for masons development imo.
