    Football banning orders in the magistrates are based on balance of probability, bans up to five years, also industrial tribunals which most of us would face if we did what he did are balance of probability. Had Leeds sacked him, it would have been upheld. One rule for footballers, one for the rest, except macgeeghan of course, his three match ban in sympathy is well warranted

    Balance of Probability is the burden of proof used in all civil courts I believe.

    Beyond Reasonable Doubt is what’s used in criminal proceedings.

    That’s why JT (I think it was) got done by FA but not Police.

    Is he Spanish? I ask cos I seem to recall someone else (might have been Suarez) defence being they use the word all the time as descriptive in their country without racial context.
