It's becoming a complete farce now, whoever's fault it is to make a decision.

Given its been so long i i suspect he's looking at a lengthy ban. If it was something and nothing it would have been done and dusted and either be back playing or the length would have been disclosed by now.

Not necessarily. The lack of updates are frustrating but there's no real precedent for this to look at. If you take boxing as possibly the best example, you'll sometimes go six months hearing nothing only for it to be disregarded when news finally comes out.

Dillian Whyte is the most recent example. The case for/against Tyson Fury also went on for over 18 months with minimal updates if any, before being quashed.

Not necessarily, Dillian Whyte got banned from boxing in the summer over nothing and it’s only recently been closed out.

Doubt he’d play again this season even if it does get sorted soonish.

Sure I read somewhere that his defence was a banned substance was found in something prescribed by a Doctor who cleared him to use it.
Can’t remember if it said it was a club Dr or not, but if any truth perhaps that could complicate things

Whyte only got off as the boxing board cant afford to fight the case & Fury didn’t challenge the verdict in the end. Both had no excuse for why steroids were in their system.

The difference with the FA is they’re minted. If Diaby’s taken a PED I’d imagine he’ll get a 12 month ban minimum

No news appears to be bad news in this instance.

I could be wrong here but didn't someone post on here the other day and say Diaby has already left the club / country?

I think they have to say that in fairness, Helen. I don’t think we will see him in a reds shirt again.

Thought I'd read in the rules that if its proved he meant to do it it's 4 years and 2 if he didn't mean it.

I think that’s the case in athletics / cycling but football seems to make the rules up as they go along

Well the case with Fury was more about his ban being backdated during his ‘hiatus’ and the resulting ban being a compromise from both parties,. He fought the whole thing tooth and nail from the start.

Disagree on Whyte. UK Anti Doping withdrew the charge due to the trace levels being so small. Not sure there was a case to answer in reality.

FA and swift justice don't go hand in hand - Leeds keeper only just banned for an incident that happened in September

I said this the other day.

Whatever his status is, we don't know, because nobody tells us anything.

No communication whatsoever. Murphy can give all the radio interviews in the world, but the important stuff is never asked or commented on.
