How did VAR look after them? From the highlights I saw there was a definite foul on Fred in the box and it was given as a free kick to city. I can understand folk not liking man u but be reyt, they played well yesterday and the atmosphere sounded top.

why was var never used from the man united goal but it was used for Everton City Liverpool against them etc? Because they have a team full of baby’s like maguire crying for a var review every time they concede. I had a look at a points forum and man united have gained the most points from the var!

Why would VAR have been used for the man u goal and what was the issue with the decision for the offside city goal? Genuine question, I may have missed this. And to be fair the Everton goal last week was correctly ruled out. He was offside and in the line of the keepers vision and made an action to move his feet out the way of the ball.

Looked onside to me. Close, but onside by a "hairs breadth" as the motd commentator stated. Agree maybe VAR should've looked at it if they didn't during the game.

I was at the derby about 15 years ago at the Ethiad when City, who were still very mediocre at that point, beat United 4-1, with John Macken scoring. The atmosphere was insane.

My lad informs Mr B that it looks like the Madrid game is a sell out. He's going to register his details just in
case there are any late returns in which case, he will request that they contact him with a chance to
buy a couple. Have to say, he's not building his hopes up, but you can but live in hope.

I recall that one season when City played a European tie against Barcelona at the Etihad (2017 ?), he had
tickets for that game. He brought me a programme back. It was fantastic and as an extra, there was another
magazine of equal quality inside showing the exploits and results of their different Youth Teams and Manchester
City women's team. Must have cost a few bob to produce. Very impressive.

The Stadium was only two years old when you went then MT, because they only vacated Maine Road in 2003 I believe.
I went to three games at the latter ground to watch Barnsley . The rake on the Kippax stand was quite offputting. You felt as though you could fall forward at anytime and at times you could feel queasy.

Like Arsenal's old Highbury ground, the site that Maine Road used to be on, has been used for community housing.
I remember just before retiring, I was in the City on business and in my dinner hour popped down to have a look. It was quite pleasing to see what they had managed to do. Imagine being a City diehard and living there.?

Never been to a game at the Etihad, but have driven by it a couple of times. The whole complex looks to be absolutely
fantastic. The Academy/Women's complex looked to be as good as anything you would see in the lower echelons of
    the EFL.

Just announced that Manchester United's Europa game against Lask in Austria on Thursday is to be
played behind closed doors, because of fears over the spread of Coronavirus.

Chelsea's game away at Bayern Munich on the 18th March is also now going
to take place in an empty stadium.
