Of course I fully acknowledge that the last few painful years of Tory governorship has impacted massively on the nhs. I suffer the stress and anxiety that comes with under-staffing on a daily basis.
Back tomorrow for more of the same :)

I wouldn't read that ***** rag if it was pinned to my nose end...
Didn't Trevor Phillips get banned from the labour party last week from daring to mention the word Moslem child rape gangs… The labour party turn on their own when they're just not left wing enough.

    Hi,

I'm not sure the virus took any notice of a countries economic policy when it jumped into the human gene pool.

But to play along for a moment - the Chinese system, for all it's draconian social policy is a largely capitalist country with some weird hybrid mix of state ownership in places, and it was far better placed to handle this than we are - as you're about to see. I say that with no satisfaction whatsoever. Every senior registered nurse I've spoken to today fears the worst because they know the state of the NHS. This will change the face of this country and the planet. Government's will eventually be swept away in a wave of hopefully, democratic anger at the ballot box re: how they failed their citizens on the most fundamental, basic healthcare needs.

Maybe we can dodge a bullet, but when you look back at the NHS crisis under the seasonal flu it's worth remembering that this will be magnitudes more serious.

A colleague told me she was speaking to another colleague, a still NMC registered nurse today who could be called upon to help. She said he partner works for a German company making ventilators. The German government has ordered 10,000 in the next 6 weeks. We've ordered 150.

Edit: I'd point out that even if we ordered 10k we still couldn't use them as we don't have anywhere near enough trained staff.

    Thanks
