Because Americans didn’t like it being called American Flu so like everything else they blamed everybody bar them . And it’s not opinion it’s a fact .
American was at war, so didn't report it. Spain wasn't at war and reported it - when the King caught it.
Who was the first bloke to decide to milk a cow and did he get some funny looks while he was doing it ?
While a cluster was found around a market, the first case was unconnected with them. It might be a bat virus, but it probably came to humans via pangolins or other mammals. Its zoonotic
Be side America, like us, covered up the severity of the virus in their country. Acting like it wasn't killing many people. Spain was honest about it so people assumed it was only affecting Spain and called it Spanish flu. Likewise just because covid-19 was first diagnosed in China does not necessarily mean that it originated there
Who in their right mind would look at a pangolin and think ‘that looks tasty’ !?!?! More like pisspotic than zoonotic.
I don't agree with it just for the fact that thick people will take this as an excuse to look down on Chinese people and other people from Asian countries but -China has played a massive part in this (to say the least). The virus originated there because of people eating anything under the sun with bacteria and disease and then the Chinese government covered it up. There is a chance this could have been stopped earlier if not for the Chinese government so just because every one seems to blame Trump does not mean he is wrong about where this came from.
Bird flu, SARS, corononvirus all originated in China. They eat anything that moves with no basic hygiene standards. Look at the videos on YouTube. No defence for the Chinese in this. If it had started in the UK, there would have been a massive outcry.
I blame the British voting public. Thick as Lard. Voted 4 times (in 10 years) to smash social care, cripple the health service, and are now having a bloody good whinge about our ability to cope! Pah.
Actually quite a lot of what is posted on the BBS is right up there, just read the posts. But keeping on subject does one have to be a Trump supporting moron to call out China about the virus? I don't agree with the tone of the post you replied to, nor am I a Trump supporter but what is factually wrong in saying that the virus started in China? I don't think there will be any retribution, I don't think retribution is appropriate but I do think there has to be a government led reform of the appalling wet markets in China, much more regulation of the way animals are sold and a much needed programme of education in respect of animal rights.
Here is an interesting article on the subject of the origins. https://www.nationalgeographic.com/...u-1918-china-origins-pandemic-science-health/
That weren’t written by an American were it . Pandemic started in America but blaming someone else ? Aye alright . Here’s an alternative https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.history.com/.amp/news/why-was-it-called-the-spanish-flu
I can't tell whether this is satire or not. Trump is a f*cking moron, potentially the most idiotic world leader in history.
No, it's the view of some historians. I don't know for certain either way, I'm just reading theories. You seem quite convinced that it started in America and posted a good source but your link doesn't blame America. Interestingly though, the exact same source that you provided does say this... Where did the Spanish flu really originate? For many years, medical historians and epidemiologists hypothesized that the outbreak could have started at a British army base in Étaples, France, or at Fort Riley in Kansas, where the first American cases of this new strain of flu were recorded in March of 1918. More recently, experts have proposed a third hypothesis: The Spanish flu originated somewhere in northern China in late 1917 and swiftly moved to western Europe with the 140,000 Chinese laborers the French and British governments recruited to perform manual labor to free up troops for wartime duty. Swine Flu started in Mexico. Foot & Mouth 2001 started in the UK. Mad Cow disease started in the UK. We are not exactly innocent in these matters.
