    We are quite lucky, we have savings and I get my UK company pension next month (25% is tax free too), I really feel for the millions that are struggling. My company just laid off 7000 people today, no health benefits, no pension payments. Horrible.
    I am sure other countries are doing the same.

    America is relatively clean on Africa.

    Anyay, we're here now, and we're globally connected, we can see. All of us.

    We keep our gobs shut. Fair enough.

    Let it continue, with more surgical and lethal repercussions, because it happened before. We can't say anything, because 50 years or so we might have exploited them too.

    Presumably Germany can't have a foreign office, nor Japan. For ever.

    There's 300 years to go at. Slave trading had been going on everywhere, for ever. Nestle and Coca Cola? Well in the USA slavery was abolished early 19th Century (I think). Coca cola wasn't invented till late 1890's (?). So not sure what the point is.

    Nestle pushing baby milk in Africa as the healthy option knowing water was contaminated. This is recently. China is going through our industrial revolution a couple of centuries ago, all well and good pulling up the drawbridge now we've had the benefit!

    I'm not defending China but to think we and America aren't also taking advantage of 3rd world countries is naive in the extreme.

    For the most part those countries that we left to their own devices have by now only themselves to blame.

    That's Africa for you. Bailed out now by the Chinese.

    Look at South Korea. Germany. They're better off than us.

    It's a matter of who gets in charge, and how accountable their system is. We aren't, nor is America, responsible for who rules the roost in Africa.

    Largely tribal dictators from ages old systems are in charge, who abuse their citizens.

    They then take advantage, and if its with Chinese help, why should they care?

    Yet we're to blame.

    They did alot for amphitheatres, so that you could go on and fill them with drunken drug infested ravers.

    Back home somebody put a lid on these places and called them discos.
