I was out walking the 2 dogs I walk for a key worker. There was a moron in an Audi convertible roaring up & down the roads in Leeds 6 & Leeds 12, when people are having to step into the road to avoid each other. I was delighted on the way back on my bike (they key worker is 2.5 miles from my flat) that the ***** had been pulled over by the police. It's people like this that need the book thrown at. I have my own leads & collars for the dogs, my own key to the rear gate to pick them up from the garden & my own hand sanitiser. I've read all the instructions from my local MP & keeping strictly to the advice btw.

Don’t more accidents occur in the home evenunder normal conditions. I was probably at far greater risk of troubling the emergency services yesterday, finally dismantling an old swing in our garden than I was this evening going for a walk round our village green.
Exactly which is why the arguement that you are potentially diverting NHS resources by having an accident by driving to where you walk your dog is ludicrus. No one goes out to have an accident but they happen be it in the household out and about walking or in the car..
Also, how can you be that weak to not be able to kick a door in? He must have a shot like Miguel Mostto.
Ive no idea, what do we do though, all go out? it’s surely about risk management. Which is more likely to end up involving medical services, walking or driving a car to an exercise spot?
You're completely missing the point. You have this viewpoint. As do many others. This in turn has caused the whole country to be placed in this over the top lockdown. If people actually listen to what they're being told, then all this will be over a lot quicker. But the fact that the attitude from many is "I'm not doing that, you can't tell me what to do" - this then spoils it for everyone else. One daily piece of exercise. Only essential journeys. You are no better than those you are turning your nose up at in this post. You selfish swear word.
No time to get this sort of attitude. His post was totally reasonable. We need to pull together. I get your point, but he's not doing anything wrong. There are arseholes who are. I'm glad I saw one today getting pulled up in his Audi convertable. Complete lovely person that ******.
No it's not reasonable. He's ignoring government guidelines and in turn is causing this whole thing to last longer. Anyone who ignores it is. Whether it's someone going out more than once at whatever time, or whether it's a set of tools having a BBQ. Whether you agree with these guidelines or not doesn't matter. As it happens I disagree with them. But the quicker we comply, the quicker they are lifted. It really is that simple. Completely selfish.
When you go to the doctor and he prescribes treatment do you tell him to f**k off because you know better? Those in charge, like them or not, and i don't much are trying to make decisions for the benefit of all. Why not just just stop moaning and sniping for a week or two and help get this over with as painlessly as possible?
I think they've got it completely wrong. Not that I don't think it will save lives but I think it will move deaths on to other people if that makes sense. Save 100,000 people now and kill 200,000 in the long run. But still they HAVE made that decision (and obviously they've made it with good intentions) so my thinking is I'll do what they say. If everyone did we'd all be back out a lot quicker and the overall death toll would be reduced
Runners and power cyclists should keep a greater distance as their lung output will spread their droplets a further distance than walkers .
