    A strange season for the Reds. Three managers, flirting with the drop and three epic FA cup games with Sheffield United oh and we were the only side to beat Leeds home & away!

    Leeds away , great night .
    I sat in the South Stand with two Leeds supporting mates .
    After the game walking amongst the angst ridden scum was a joy .

    Never tire of watching the highlights from the 1996/97 season. Won at West Brom thought it was
    a one off. Leaving Maine Road after winning 2-1, I said to my mate, are you thinking what I'm thinking.?
    Never thought we could do it, but hey ho we did. Fantastic achievement.

    Magical Tuesday night away games at Leeds and Middlesbrough, made all the better as I was 11 and allowed to go on a school night :)

    I stood with the Barnsley fans. After the game we were ushered out of the terraces into the paddock between the perimeter wall and the stadium and pelted with lumps of concrete for the next 45 minutes.

    I asked a policeman if we could go back onto the terraces to get out of the way of the bombardment. From under his riot shield he aggressively told me to fc*k off. (Genuinely can't believe that any football fan who experienced policing in the 80s and 90s at football grounds are now so happy and willing to defer their civil liberties to these organisations).

    Still one of the best games I've ever been to though.
