Nope. I hope he recovers, but he’s no more deserving of my best wishes than anyone else with the virus. And when he’s better, I’ll have no qualms about calling out the ridiculous **** for what he is.
Whilst I appreciate the meaning behind the clapping for NHS staff and key workers, I find it somewhat mental that folk then want to clap Boris Johnson. It’s like saluting the efforts of those who look after abused children then clapping Savile. I hope he and anyone suffering with illness enjoy a speedy recovery.
Hope that he makes a full recovery and anyone suffering with it makes a full recovery too. I would salute NHS staff and key workers but clapping for BoJo is a definite no from me. I do wish him the best because this virus is awful, but he's for one a Tory and he was one of the many who voted against the NHS getting pay increases many moons ago.
WTAF - wish him a speedy recovery and all that but its pointless us all going out and clapping for him - nothing like the same as clapping for the NHS I wont be out clapping tonight though
He’s just GOT to make a full recovery. I mean, when the virus has gone, can he trust Gove, Raab and Hancock to dismantle the NHS without him??
Rather than clap NHS workers, shouldn't we like pay them more money? Like double it? Because do you know what good clapping does? ABSOLUTELY FK*C ALL! If I'd done a 12 hour shift at a hospital, up to my neck in human misery, and someone who has consistently voted Tory began clapping me, I'd pin them down and fkuc their face. You have a right to vote for whom you like, but you don't have a right to do that and then clap me. I won't clap Boris, but I wish him a speedy recovery. I won't clap NHS workers because I won't patronise them like that. I'll just do what I've always done, vote for political parties that have their (and the institution for whom they work) best interests at heart. And argue vehemently and consistently that ordinary people matter and deserve a hell of a lot better than they're ever allowed.
Don't think I'd be up for clapping any individual unless he or she held a 'gandhi' like status. Perhaps a round of applause (acknowledgement) for all those fighting for their lives and those that have died? Perhaps this could offer a little bit of comfort and support to their family and friends, especially given the fact they cannot be with their loved one's.
I'd rather sh*t in my hands and then clap but I wish him a speedy recovery. What next then? Tomorrow at 8.00 we all clap for the clappers. And we all love the happy clappers on here don't we
Agreed. I will also be happy if my taxes are increased to finance the NHS workers and other key workers, cleaners, delivery drivers, all sorts of support staff. Deemed as unskilled only weeks ago by the government. Maybe more important than investment bankers and hedge fund managers ?
