I think you'd settle for a nice pair of baps, if pushed.

It's a funny one is this. To me, 'scon' sounds posh, but some people reckon 'scone' sounds posh. I'm a scone man myself like, cos I think scon sounds southern posh and pretentious

Exactly! Scon is definitely posh, anyone who’s heard someone from Yorkshire saying scone with the deep ‘o’ would never call that posh.

Not having that as an argument. Some would have you say leeds is pronounced Leeds. But as everyone knows it’s pronounced Scum.

LOL my friend. As much as I live in Leeds I've spent all afternoon cycling round the place walking people's dogs & doing errands in a badly fitting Reds shirt. TBH all I've been met with is gratitude. Sometimes the football bit becomes a bit less vitriolic in such circumstances to the point where it's just a light joke.

It grieves me to say this. And don’t let em know. I have quite a few I’d call friends (workmates). There I’ve said it through gritted teeth. Working for YW means I get to see em quite a lot. All from west York’s except a Dee dar closet fan. They wouldn’t forgive me if I didn’t refer to em as scum. No more than if they didn’t call me Dingle. I’m going to lie down now. Hope I wake up and this was all a dream. If not it will be deleted ASAP. And I’ll make sure I take my medication. :)
Ps Please forgive me cowboy. Bless me for for I have sinned. No not catholic but just edging mi bets.
