They are being too lenient with people that's the problem. I know I can do what I want and just get a warning so there is no deterrent.
If ever an example needed making, and a public name/shame/embarrass in front of the nation ............................. this is one. Shocking. Utter cnts
I know some won't agree, but I'm scared so I don't care, and I'm not going to debate it. Time to get the army out.
Reckon after all the selfish pillocks have had their barbecues and parties this weekend, there'll be a stronger lockdown imposed by the government, cheers pillocks
Its time to get serious. 1). Anyone going to a second house gets it confiscated and sold off 2). Anyone having a party or other unauthorized visitors gets a £1000 fine per visitor *each* Any other suggestions?
I'm sure when devising the policy it was known some would ignore it. The overwhelming majority are doing as asked.
And if any of the attendees fell ill with the virus whose fault would it be? Not theirs, never, never theirs.
I don't see why we don't use the army a lot more often anyway. We are asking retired police to come out of retirement and help. We have an army who presumably is sat there doing nowt (not all obviously). They don't have to be out shooting people but just get them out helping. If it were up to me they'd have been doing home deliveries weeks ago to double Tesco's capacity for deliveries
Add this to the list of unbelievable behaviour https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-lancashire-52227363
You can always trust the servile British public to blame the people for systematic govt failings and inaction. The simple fact is the government actively and publicly pursued ensuring the population got the under researched, deadly virus (which was supported on here) and now this is shown to be a huge mistake, the discourse has shifted to focus on one man’s recovery and blaming individual members of the public. Simple fact is the lockdown is not being enforced, NHS workers are not being provided with adequate protection as per other counties and the death toll is at a level that a few weeks back the British press were widely publicising and asking questions of the italian government - now it has happened here, all focus is on the individual. They’ll get away with it and be praised for their efforts after all this, even if we have a higher per capita death toll than other developed countries. The individual having a party this weekend in face of the obvious is a moron, the govt with deliberately light and unenforced advice is criminally negligent.
Arrest them for something like attempted manslaughter, keep em locked up for couple of days on this line and then release with a caution. Before anyone jumps on, I don’t know if there is such a charge and yes it reduces some available Police time, the point I was making was put the shits up em.
The government - or at least the Department of Health - can be prosecuted under the Corporate Manslaughter and Homicide Act 2007 (it doesn't apply to all government departments). That *could* leave Matt Hancock in an uncomfortable position. On a guilty verdict, other individuals (in government) can then be prosecuted under gross negligence manslaughter....
