It doesn't seem to work that way from what I can see...the EU has a coordinating role, but it's up to individual member states to bid for any equipment sourced and sign contracts with the vendors.

Still better to get involved and see what we could have got though, rather than lie about losing the invite.

I don't disagree about that, but there isn't a stock of ventilators out there just needing sharing out.

On the EU point; no there aren’t, but sourcing from people who already build them makes more sense than reinventing the wheel.

and forgetting the EU aspect, we knew we’d need them in January, why did we wait till March to order from people who had to reinvent the wheel and then managed to deliver penny numbers - too little far too late.

And of those who get it; how many do you predict will find it funny?

Can't speak for any one else's sense of humour, but the bullseye reference didn't make me laugh, but your cutting retort did. Out loud.

Yep, boils my piss that does. Even worse in Portugal, where you can get residency by spending only €300,000 on a property. Loads of upper middle class Chinese are buying up places there.

No, but my wife is non-EU and the current legislation makes it very difficult and expensive for us to get her UK residency (married 13 years with a British child). Yet the uber-rich can just buy their way in, probably laundering a nice chunk of money as they go.
