Not if you climb on top of the shelving and run past them really quickly. Getting the trolley up there is a bit tricky, mind.
Hopefully they shut the supermarkets down and put all us non essential workers on a 12 week furlough so that we dont upset folk who cant follow a simple instruction
Got to admit I'm feeling a little disoriented when I go out at the minute - don't feel comfortable in the slightest. Spent all morning dodging people on my walk one morning this week before being met with abuse from someone - literally couldn't go anywhere else as I was next to a wall while she had a large grass kerb to walk on. Majority of people really friendly - smiles and thank yous but this just got to me. I know people are feeling anxious but we all are
No your not mate! I did the same in Tesco two weeks ago and the staff in there wasn't nuts at me for saying anything!!!!
I saw a great hulk of a man arguing with staff outside Aldi because he couldn't accompany his wife into the store, he was demanding to know what the scientific principles they were using -his words by the way - off staff who were doing what they have been told to do. They said he could go in but only with another trolley. No good for him though. A woman was trying to explain and he was saying who are you to tell me. She said I am a nurse caring for CV19 patients and instead of STFU he tried to berate and belittle her. Luckily a builder went up to him and told him to go and do one. The horrible turd.
What gets on my nerves is when someone is stood at the shelf that you want. I stand back waiting for them to make up their mind whether to buy the item or not and they just stare at the shelf awaiting divine intervention or something. Either buy it or don't for God's sake.
I wouldn't have minded but it was at the end of my walk and virtually at the top of my street. I'd spent previous hour jumping onto the road, crossing over etc
I don't rant at anyone, but it is disappointing to think that so many people don't think sensible rules should apply to them.
Even worse in Aldi this morning - woman chatting to her mate stood right beside what i wanted to pick up with her back to me. I did the English thing of looking impatient in the hope her mate would notice and tell her to shift - in the end I had to politely ask her to move. Dozy cow half apologised and moved a couple of feet - still stood chatting 5 minutes later - half the reason the queue had grown 300% whilst I was in there no doubt.
You'd be surprised at how many there is,I deliver shipping containers and since the lockdown have hardly noticed any drop in work, beds, clothes, car parts, tools, xmas trimmings, waste paper/cardboard,scrap metal, furniture, etc etc, the vast majority of warehouses are still operating as normal. we deliver to a lot of smaller warehouses around bradford, halifax and leeds with many of these being independant operators selling cheap chinese goods on line, nearly all the workforce are Asian and in our experience there is very little regard to health and safety and social distancing is non existant.
Most people can behave likes adults and there is no problems. Earlier I was at Canon Hall Farm shop. It took about half an hour to get inside with everyone stood calmly at the distancing lines put on the floor. A staff member told you when you could go in and you had hand sanitizer on entry and then tape on the floor to help with social distancing. Items that aren't usually covered were and the staff serving had shielding up for protection. I find shopping easier for social distancing than going out walking when someone isn't facing on coming traffic on the same path as you and look at you like they expect you to step in the road.
