Just seen that Luton put season tickets on sale and asked fans to buy them now to help their cash flow. And they've announced 3,000 sales this morning. Just wondering, how many would buy now if BFC did the same?
Yes, no matter what I think on the way the club is run currently I still want it to be there when normality returns. Obviously people’s finances will dictate but I would be happy to purchase now.
Unbelievable, uncertainty how does anybody know whats gunna happen, even the boffins aint got a clue, Covids ere for a fair few months yit.
no chance for me im afraid. could i afford it; yes, but why would i when we havent a clue whats going to happen. i honestly cant see fans being allowed in stadiums until 2021 at the very least (hope im wrong like). also, given the amount of money we are told our owners have im sure they have more than enough dollars, yuan and rupees between them to keep us going for a bit.
Think it illustrates while everyone argues about how to finish the season, that a lot of clubs are going to.have much bigger problems.
No, wouldn't buy one. No one's job is secure. There are going to be food shortages, severe ones, despite what people will try to argue. The usual autumn and winter crops grown in Europe for the UK, on which we rely, have not even been planted as there are currently no trade deals between Europe and the UK after December due to Brexit, so the producers have no assurances that they could sell them and hence have stopped production. This would be a problem even if it wasn't for Covid-19. But we have Covid-19. And we have a hugely reduced work force. When Italy was desperate for PPE the rest of the EU countries blocked exports, retaining the supplies for themselves. The same will be true of food stocks. We are not self sufficient. Food prices will increase many, many fold. Giving money to a football club when there is no football seems ridiculous to me.
Bradford have announced season tickets sales have been suspended due to the fact games will be behind closed doors. Those who have paid will be able to watch on ifollow for free or get a refund
No. I could afford it, no problem, but I can't see fans attending games until 2021 at this point, so I'm not going to pay for something I know I won't be able to use.
If you've posted no because of the uncertainty of when grounds will re-open to fans I think you're missing the point. Luton fans know that they are unlikely to be watching matches for the foreseeable future AND understand the financial difficulties facing the club so are buying their tickets now to help with cashflow. They know they won't be able to use them and trust that the club will do the right thing e.g. offer a part refund, in the future. I've previously said that it's unlikely I'd buy a season ticket for next season if we're relegated due to the actions / under-performance of our owners BUT if it's a case of helping our club to survive I'd happily hand over my £330 now. My opinion is that we're not yet in a position where that might be required but I guess only the CEO, Finance Director and owners will know exactly what our position is.
