Apart from Roy Keane, during his managerial career was there ever a time he was so frustrated
that he came close to thumping one of his players.?

Ask him about Ian Evans. What was their relationship like? I recall him being much quieter than MM but a phenomenal defender.

They were great mates apparently. Ian credits Macca with showing him round Tarn and he claims he showed
Mick how to play. Ian was with Mick as his assistant for the Republic of Ireland at the World Cup, when the
infamous incident involving Roy Keane took place and although Keane and Mick probably aren't on each other's
Christmas card list, Ian says he hasn't got any axe to grind with their former skipper.
Never realised that Ian was also assistant to Mick when he managed Wolves. Always thought it was
    Terry Connor.

How much does he remember about his professional debut at Oakwell? Chesterfield league cup IIRC. My mates and me were very impressed with Mick's performance and were convinced we'd seen the start of something special.

I don't know if they played in the same team but around the same time was a lad from the dale called Dave Gledhill who was an excellent prospect...he signed for Sunderland and a day or two before he went he was run over and killed (by a notorious Cudworth nutjack)...I'm sure Mick would remember him.

How would he rescue a club cut adrift at the bottom of the Championship with only a handful of games left to play?

And is he interested in the job?

Thanks for that. Didn’t know that their partnership continued beyond playing together at Barnsley.

Ask him about Steve Bruce, I'm sure Mick was responsible for the state of Bruces nose when he was a Gillingham defender. Mick was sent off inside 3 minutes for the incident in August 1980
