Because for some reason they think it will be safer, or perhaps think, in some strange way that other people will think it shows them putting an extra level of security in.
ie.....look at us going the extra mile.

It's to try and stop fans congregating outside stadiums while teams are playing

To stop 50000 Scousers turning up outside the stadium when Liverpool play at home, for instance.

People *will* turn out if their team is at home and has something to play for.

So Liverpool v Palace gets played far away from both, at Grimsby or Carlisle.

well that does hold water I guess. But it would mean they would have to play a good distance from their respective homes in order to put the fans off travelling.

To try and deter fans from gathering , it’ll never work imo and if it’s shown on television they’ll be secret gatherings on pubs , houses etc

Why play at all? Just end the season now.
There are obviously huge problems atm and people are dying.
Sickening if the decisions to be made are driven by money.

I guess it might be easier to control the testing if 3 games a day are played at one venue?

they could also consider National (conference) grounds too. they only need a pitch and facilities. Plenty of decent grounds in the National leagues.

Would you still say that if we were at the top of the championship rather than the bottom.

So instead of one group of people travelling from town A to town B, it'll be two groups of people travelling from town A and town B to town C. Genius.
