The tories cut budgets for years, then blame the stretched NHS on immagrants... Turns out immagrants make up a huge amount of the NHS!

"Oh well I guess it's OK that nurses and doctors come over". It's weak. I can't see why any doctors from elsewhere would want to move here in this environment now!

I think the Blair government set funds aside, or provided ways to access funds which would have been used to increase the provision of facilities for any incoming EU citizens, education, hospitals etc. The tories scrapped it. Who’s to blame according to them?? The immigrants

You're right in that my last reply was silly and reductive. Fair play.

BUT the lies on both sides point isn't fair at all. The economy is going to be worse off for years. You only have to look at the hit the sterling has took over the last few years. Less free trade means lower growth - it's pretty clear.

The Brexit side told all sorts of lies and have got away with it. I find it disgusting.

WTO is about to collapse, which would mean US would have us even more over a barrel on trade. Surely to god this means an extension with EU?

I appreciate what you’re saying but No one knows for sure how things are going to play out. The European economy is by no means going great guns at the moment and hasn’t for some time. I just feel we’ll be better off in the long term. Short term maybe not. Time will tell. Saying that, it would be nice to maintain a good relationship with the Eu in terms of trade/crime/medicines etc but is looking increasingly unlikely.

    Easy!
Yes, they’re paying for them ;)

except they’re not, because all those extra taxes from the foreign nationals that should have gone to schools and the NHS went to tax breaks for the rich instead.

    still ... immigrants eh?

RW politicians have always played this the same; point and shout ‘look at the foreigners trying to steal what’s yours’ whilst you’re distracted they’ve got their hand in your back pocket. Twas ever thus :)

I did some door knocking for a political party (not Labour) during the last election. The amount of casual and not so casual racism was off the charts. Not all people who voted leave are racists that’s certainly true
I did door knocking during the election ( not for Labour) the amount of casual and not so casual racism was staggering.

You are entitled to vote for whom you want and for whatever reason. But if you think the racists didn't in fact carry the Brexit vote. You are way off the mark. Or are you saying less than 2% of the country are racist.
The guy in the car industry was making a point. at no stage did he say you were a racist.
Would be difficult to do a survey on the numbers as very few who are racist would openly admit it. ( unless one exists)
Racially motivated incidents went through the roof after the vote.

And Boris and his cronies have these aspirations by hanging on with ease and much joy to his tailcoat.

Of course you don't know this.
I rather think that no-one would want to be a Trump clone.

All this is meaningless. Wait until the autumn/winter and you can't eat, because there's no food. I'm not kidding, it's coming. The crops haven't even been planted for you to buy. This is real. It's already happened.
