Burton Albion have had to let him go as the Covid 19 pandemic has struggled them so they cant afford to

Think he's a decent manager. Cant see him being out of work for long.

Graeme Jones was never going to be the last to be let go and Nigel Clough will be the second in a long line of clubs getting shut of the boss to save some coin.

It's ok, I can fully understand your post. You don't have to be perfect as some on here think they are.

In fairness I didn't have a clue what he was talking about at first. I worked it out after a couple of reads (and realised it was a simple mistake) but it did take a while. I wouldn't read anything into people's sarcasm either, the vast majority of the time that people pick up on mistakes like this they intend their response as a bit of fun. I've had the pee took out of me many times for it and I will gladly make a comment when anyone else makes a mistake.

Unless of course it's obvious that they actually struggle with spelling or something, that's a bit different.

Some clubs are going to the wall because of this. How are we paying all the salaries with no money coming in? Dane hinted at this on the official site. ..but people didn't seem to pick up on it

One of the few work-related stories I can share. One that I look back at fondly.

First off, I'm a huge fan of Brian Clough. To me, there's nobody coming close. Legend in many aspects, to me.

Anyway. When we hosted Burton Albion last season, I was stood at the players entrance waiting for folk to arrive, getting it on film as usual. As the Albion bus arrived, and Nigel Clough (last off) made his way into the building, I followed him in and as he was greeted by others inside, I stopped filming. He immediately stops his greetings, taps me on the shoulder and asks "what were you doing then?" and I reply "just filming you arriving" to which he frowned and said "why?" - I looked a little surprised and said "it's just what we do, I'm one of the media team and we cover the whole day on camera, different moments and what have you." He told me "I didn't appreciate it lad." And then our safety officer - who knows him - greeted him and that was that.

    I carried on my day.

It was the day Steve Croft collapsed. I was right next to him sadly. Unlike those who helped save his life, I froze in horror. But that's another story. Anyroad, after that game was abandoned, I was in the tunnel when I gets another tap on the shoulder. It's Nigel again. "Sorry lad." I said "What for?" and he said "Earlier on. I was rude. You were doing your job. Accept my apologies." and I said it was fine, etc etc.

I didn't see him for the rearranged game as I was office based most of that day.

Anyway, at their place, as our players and the gaffer made their way into the stadium, I'm following Daniel and as we walk by Nigel's office, he sees me and gives me a wink.

Probably a boring story, but thought I'd share it.

    Better stories I can't share. :D

I liked it. Shows a mark of a man if they can apologise imo.
