what a load of bo******. If the matches can't be played then the season should be deemed null and void. All this talk of it 'wouldn't happen if Leeds Sunderland Wednesday were facing relegation' is pointless. As for those who think Barnsley should be relegated because the Board 'got it wrong' or because we 'deserve' relegation' shame on you. I would like to see the clubs affected by this possible travesty joining together to mount a legal challenge. And we should make our feelings known to the Paul Conway.
Nothing the EFL do makes sense to me anymore. League 2 apparently cannot decide on relegation, league 1 are still arguing about PPG scenario and Championship in limbo. I have seen scenarios on the PPG plan in the Championship where the teams in 20th, 21st and 22nd are separated by goal difference, which I assume does not come into play on PPG and is completely wrong.
Looks like we're going down. I agree if it can't be finished we or anyone else should not be relegated. Especially with clubs under investigation for flouting FFP rules. Getting sick of football before it even restarts!!!
Cowardly EFL,following Sky directives. If the season can't be completed then it has to be Null and void and no promotion/relegation. It's that simple, I could see this rumbling on if the games aren't played, involving MPs,Courts and interested parties all taking on the EFL. The statement is a disappointment.
We were always going down, largely because we have been **** over the majority of the season. Conway will sue for his revenue loss and we’ll go back to blooding players from Morecambe and selling at a profit. Everyone’s a winner.
Thing is once the vote's happened then legally the best we can hope for is monetary recompense. If we start it before any vote we are more likely to stay in the league imo.
infact if teams withdraw the season it could mean they lose out on sponsorship/TV money so may not be all cut and dry.
I think it may be the case that if the 51%majority is not already within the rules that there may be issues imposing midterm imo .
If I were a betting man I'd say we will flog jacob brown and woodrow to make up for the losses caused by covid 19 cauley will be replaced with a ex Tesco worker from yeovil for a undisclosed fee, elliot simoes will be promoted to replace brown.
