Just love it on here when you try and put another viewpoint for discussion and you get dogs abuse.

Ok so my PERSONAL THOUGHTS, not just points for discussion. If Cummings has gone against his own advice and internal investigations etc support this. Of course he should be punished, maybe even resign. I personally don't think it is newsworthy when I see the same happening by inconsiderate people in my own local area and they are not punished whatsoever.

Some folk need to seriously chill on here though. All I did was put another point into the discussion, as you will read 'playing devils advocate'. It's not wrong to consider other viewpoints in comparison to your own, in fact it can open up good debate.

Did you also see though Helen, that his advise was to lockdown 2 weeks earlier? That would have been a good decision? Yes/ No?

If you want to defend him then great, good luck with that.

But you've got to put up with the fact that many people will oppose that view - not throw your toys out of the pram when presented with evidence that you don't want to see.

Those morons weren't stuck onto government advisory panels deciding what needed to be done to stop the spread of the virus those morons don't help decide government policy Cummings does.

I'm not defending the government. But surely you can't equally be defending those idiots who thinks that when the government say you are allowed to meet 1 other person from another household and maintain 2m apart, that means go to a packed beach and potentially spread the virus to thousands. This becomes 10's of thousands and so forth..

They can string Cummings up from Tower bridge if they want. I'd decided to stay at home far before the government advised to do so. I was so glad when my employer acted a week before them as well. I've not been into the office since the start of March.

And start your opposing opinion with "this board loves a good conspiracy theory". And then act like Mother Theresa when people take the piss out of you for trying to excuse it by using classic whataboutery, probably because you cannot come up with something more intelligent. And deep down you know he was in the wrong but you cannot have a bad word said about Boris and his pals, god forbid no.

He also was the one pushing for herd immunity if same reports are to be believed.

The top and bottom of our entire discussions revolve around governments lack of clear communication, legislative authority during lockdown and overall transparency. The late lockdown and lack of planning, PPE etc raised a lot of questions. They've backed themselves into this corner. People want truth and to be treated fairly. See Angela Raynor's comments on Twitter about her isolation. Why should Cumming's be allowed to act differently?

Not sure if that was in reply to me. But I'm not defending him. I put a discussion point across but seemingly that ignored the fuse for some people.

Nobody should be allowed to act differently!

Again now we have the BBC who said he advocated locking down 2 weeks earlier, yet others saying pushing for herd immunity. No wonder the country is so divided, our media have to take more responsibility.

I never bought into this herd immunity theory, I guess it must have been recommended by some scientists at some point but for a virus that had started to lockdown other countries prior, surely it was far too risky to try. I'm not sure we will ever know the truth about what the strategy truly was.

Well it worked. The morons on here saying how rules weren’t clear, certainly appear to be experts now-

Well done Cummings, you’ve helped educate the haters.

I reckon that if you come up with some corroboration for this Cummings early lockdown, it might help people like me.

Then I'd be interested to know why we carried on fannying about for a fortnight - whose idea was that?

It has to be said that Cummings is a kind of pantomime villain to all of us who aren't true blue. I'm not sure however that I've ever heard him speak.

This herd immunity plan that he gets associated with btw. Whilst best in the bin, it never was just a plan to kill the weakest off, and leave those who survived it to carry on. A proper implementation of the plan involves a specific mass effort to protect/isolate the weakest first of all, whilst the rest do their bit and presumably take the hit to kick off with. After that, it got too complicated for me.
Anyway, we seem to have killed off all the weak anyway in this country, thanks to a large scale triumph on our government's part to be around a month too slow on everything that they do.

(I still think the Chinese deserve more blame than anyone else though).

Someone who's forearm and wrist gets far too much exercise, who lacks any regular sexual contact which leads to little big man syndrome and occasional ******'s brain freeze.
