Titanic Plum Porter is probably the best around.

WIld Beer Co Millionaire is a Salted Caramel Stout and in Tesco there's a BrewDog vs. Evil Twin Coffee Stout at a punchy 9% (called Roaster Coaster). Also keep an eye out or look for Magic Rock Common Grounds.

Can't not push a couple of BrewDog beers whilst I'm here ........

I’ve been to Düsseldorf more than anywhere else in the last few years, 3 times. Despite loving the city and the nightlife the one thing I can’t get a taste for is altbier. Get some funny looks on Bolker strasse when I ask for a pilsner bier. Obviously this does restrict a few of the bars I can go in. Wonderful city though love the bars by the river on a hot day.

Love the stuff...was a lager or nothing type drinker before our first trip in 2015. First bar I ask for lager and they only sold Alt....tried it and loved it.

Fell in love with city and football team and have been going ever since as often as we can get tickets / afford it.

Went to the final game last season against Hanover. Prior to that stayed in Düsseldorf when I went over for the Germany v England game in Dortmund and then when I went to Bayer Leverkusen v Hanover, just in case you’re wondering I’m not a Hanover fan it was just coincidence. What we also try to do is catch a regionalliga game last year we did Wuppertal and dropped on a street festival which was good. Love the region but not sure now Flybe have gone how regular flights are. This year we were going to 1860 Munich’s last game then jahn Regensburg on the Sunday but obviously all fell through. Roll on next year.

Eurowings from Manchester and Birmingham 3 times a day before all this kicked off....not sure what will happen after.

Only managed one game this season, two have been cancelled that we had tickets for. We did Dortmund away last season the week before the Hanover match...it was our UK fan club meet up :)

Definitely agree with Loko on the Wilde Beer Millionaire Shortbread.

Also try Wiper and True Milk Shake.

    Tiny Rebel Stay Puft

    Brew York Tonkoko

    The Kernel Extra India Porter

    Beavertown Smog Rocket.

I think of all the beers the darker ones benefit most from being stronger, and the imperial versions of Stay Puft and Tonkoko are much better, and the Empress Tonkoko is a thing of beauty.

Can anyone recomend a place to buy cream ale from? I tried a few when I was in Canada last year and I loved them but can't seem to find any.
