Watched todays briefing and he told questioners he wanted to move on from the Cummings fiasco and they basically ignored him. He then prevented his medical experts answering questions on the subject but the questions kept coming. I've never seen a PM be treated in such a contemptuous manor before he just couldn't cope with the situation.

He's full of bluff and bluster. A lot of his own MP's don't agree with his stance on retaining Cummings
in his post. If Keir Starmer's popularity maintains its momentum, it won't be too long before the
" men in grey suits" move Johnson on. Surely there must be a realisation in Tory ranks that he's not up to the job.?

Tbh it was obvious before the election hence the dodging of questions from Andrew Neil etc and running into fridges .
The only way he is where he is is because he’s made it tribal ,
There’s no way twenty thirty years ago this Charlatan would have got anywhere in politics ? In fact I understand he was dismissed by proper politicians .
He’d made it tribal whereby those that stick by him don’t do so because if his policies because he’s a renowned liar , no he’s where he is because it’s tribal .

His performance wasn't much better at the Work and Pension committee yesterday. He couldn't answer some of the questions and was too vague with the ones he could. A number of the delegates showed annoyance and impatience with his 'answers'.

If you recall he did face Andrew Neil in the leadership debates and was torn apart by him so there was no way he was going to face him again.

He watched him take apart Corbyn, Swinson and Sturgeon in the election debates and thought **** that. He gambled that not facing him again was better than being savaged by him.

One thing Boris has never been is on top of the details. He's been the same in every office he's held.

Excellent. The Tories are to blame for the virus. This place just gets better.
So what makes you think that Labour would have done things better?

Because they're guided by doing their best for folk rather than money money money. And they'd have had the sense to have looked at what worked well in other countries.

The latest evidence* shows that the UK has one of the highest per capita coronavirus death toll in the world.

When trying to understand how our country screwed up so badly, this utterly deranged nonsense from Boris Johnson on February 3rd provides some answers.

His attitude was that effective containment measures like Test-Track-Quarantine were "bizarre", "autarkic", and "market segregation".

Meanwhile he clearly believed that ignoring the pandemic protocols in order to keep business open as usual would transform Johnson into a universally celebrated "Superman of Capitalism" figure and teach the Johnny Foreigners a thing or two.

So the Tory government just the virus spread, and faied to implement containment measures in the crucial early stages (mass testing, contact tracing, quarantine facilities, protective gear for medics and other essential workers ...).

And it turns out that this is a horrifying mistake for two reasons.

First: Letting the virus spread like wildfire causes one of the worst outbreaks in the world, and results in the uneccessary deaths of tens of thousands of people.

Second: Once the virus has been allowed to spread, it makes containment vastly more difficult than it ever needed to be, requires a longer lockdown than other countries, and ends up doing more damage to the economy than simply trying to contain it at the beginning.

Not only did this horrific Tory government shove tens of thousands of people into early graves, Johnson's "Superman of Capitalism" delusion ended up doing far more damage to the economy than was ever necessary.

Johnson should clearly resign for making such a depraved error of judgement, and we should be told who authored this utterly bizarre speech, and who signed off on it too. I'd be very surprised if Cummings had nothing to do with it.

There's less costly mistakes in the course of doing your job, that's resulted in manslaughter charges.

No one's blaming to Tories for the virus it's the way they've handled it. Labour would have acted far quicker, Shut sporting events quicker & controlled the spread far better than this shower & most certainly they would have protected the front line NHS staff far more effectively.
Care homes would have prioritised at a very very early stage of the outbreak & if any one had pulled a Cummins they would have been sacked immediately & quite rightly.

    HOPE THIS HELPS.

My mother-in-law is sat at home slowly dying from a lack of adequate cancer treatment. That's a direct consequence of this government's failure to make hard choices soon enough. If we'd locked down properly, she could have had the operation she needed. I don't give a **** about what other parties might have done. This lot have chucked her under a ******* bus.

So you tell me. Which bits of the Tories handling of the virus have impressed you, and why?
