Chris Wood. Highly sought after, did nowt here, banged goals in at other clubs, ended up playing top flight. Typical
That could be a really interesting chat, he also studied journalism at degree level. Always liked him, if he could finish he'd have been a poor man Henry. Always remember when he tore Sheffield Utd to bits in a draw at Oakwell. One of the only shining lights that season. I think he split opinions during his time with us. We've had worse lads wearing red and him and Bruce weren't a bad pairing, especially due to the circumstances.
Keep trying, he was a good player. Unfairly maligned on this board by a previous high-profile poster synonymous with "simulated images"
Wayne Bullimore( at least I think its him I'm remembering) always looking for an attacking pass, recall him pinging 50 yard balls out to both wings with the wide men looking at him as if to say 'not used to that sort of pass, I'll run earlier next time'. Shame they never did. Seemed to think a couple of seconds quicker than the team around him in my eyes.
Thought Betsy did ok mate. He carved out a decent career and was a steady Lower championship/ league 1 player. I know he wasn’t mentioned by you as a flop and not sure DCM saw him that way. For me he was ok. Nowt more nowt less.
And yet he managed to sign nearly every player who was remotely available... that squad had more hangers on than Zsa Zsa Gabor’s wardrobe
Yep. One with a hole in his knee. One who was sold about a month after he arrived. I fvcking hate Spackman.
Jean-Yves M'Voto, Carl Barrowclough, Ron Futcher (maybe harsh but he certainly didn't deliver like Paul did)
Yes but I put that down to him standing out due to his distinctive appearance rather than his impact on games because he did sod all apart from point
Dominic Werling his free kicks were the absolute definition of an anticlimax before his boot connected he was Roberto Carlos afterwards he was Roberta Flack I was convinced every time it was going to go in.
Kevin Gallon Scored for fun before signing for us and Warhurst although he was old when he came here .
Can’t believe Willie Ferry has not been mentioned. Crap footballer but great lad when you got talking to him. Best to talk to him in daylight though as he liked a pint or three and was bonkers whenever you bumped into him in town after a game.
