Here's one few will Remember, Keith Adamson. Signed in the mid-60s from Tow Law Town when we were really struggling. He was a striker but was cast away after 5 games without a goal.
I echo the calls for Sean McClare. Saw him a lot in reserves and thought he'd be the real deal. Another around the same time that I had a soft spot for was dangerous Brian O'Callaghan - can't believe no one else hasn't mentioned him
I didn’t love him but I thought it was a shame that Gorman Lovre was so slow & unsuited to the English game as it was clear that when he had time on the ball he was a talented footballer
Goran Lovre. Champions League experience, looked extremely skillful. I thought he was going to be a world beater. He wasn't
Chris Lumsdon, cried his eyes out in Regents Park telling everyone who'd listen that he wanted to sign a permanent long term deal and make a difference. Turned out he wanted to stay in Regents Park long term and make a giant size impact on his kidneys and liver every Thurs- Monday. Took a fair number of our promising young lads with him , they didn't last long.
I think it’s because he was utterly wànk. I liked Mitch Ward and Nathan Doyle - I like midfielders who know how to cheat.
Perkins? Great Player? I don't know if you are actually being tongue in cheek there... I'm going to have to look up the meaning of 'Great' in the dictionary....
Was crap on loan and couldn’t believe we then signed him. One that used to play up to the young uns at the end of matches. Becoming a fans favourite ( for those that fell for him) One of the worst signings ever. IMO.
I remember the Chris Lumsdon that scored some cracking goals and made us tick in midfield. One of the only bright sparks of our 2002 relegation and admin.
