S P O R F (At ) (@Sporf) Tweeted: @MarcusRashford during lockdown: His charity raised £20m helping feed 400,000 children. Launched a campaign to help the homeless. Learned sign language to judge a poetry event in a deaf school. Supplied 3m meals to vulnerable children in the UK. Incredible. https://t.co/fFYnfNSyjK
The learning sign language I feel speaks the most about him, the rest could be dismissed as a token gesture and a headline name by some, but taking the time out to learn something to give the people connected to the deaf school an above and beyond experience is fantastic in my book.
I read this the other day, what a brilliant effort from him, he is a impressive young man. ( to me anyway)
It's a shame that we have to rely on a footballer to do these things, that we almost think that's normal . If course the government can't do that even though it has the power to print money .
A lady on our local community hub has been doing daily sign language lessons throughout lockdown, mainly aim at kids but the number of adults too who from the feed back have enjoyed learning has been great.
A proper role model. Had it tough as a kid himself and didn’t want others to go through what he did wondering where his next meal was coming from. Absolute respect to the lad who is also an amazingly talented footballer.
