It's a fine line between genius and madness.

Best to view this as the first match in a brand new 9 game season. We're starting with a handicap, but all bets are off.

Do we think he's picked some players based on their trying to combine their experience of playing in an empty stadium for the U23's and their desire/intensity to make an impression?

And bring on better players after a potential slow start.

might be an act of pure genius, look where playing our regular first team choice has got us at QPR over the years!

It's a cunning plan... As cunning as a fox who’s just been appointed Professor of Cunning at Oxford University?

Looks like a lucky dip selection strategy. Reminds me of the Morais team at Boro.

Didn’t go well but here’s hoping...

    Don't understand the negative reactions.
We've not kicked a ball yet, if we lose then fair enough but you can't moan before kicking off, struber sees them in training and must know more than we do.

You would have to say that this looks like getting ready for life in League one minus a couple of players. Not so much ending a season as starting the pre season to another.

Surprised, but Walton’s a decent keeper and Palmer needs blooding too.

See what happens - but we never win down there anyway.

The most positive way I can see it is that it is based on a) fitness levels achieved so far after the lockdown; b) knowing that players' fitness for the style of pressing game means a significant number may not last the full ninety minutes; c) being able to bring on fresh legs of some experience with the plan to win the game in the last quarter; d) having a rotation system which should mean that players don't burn out after about three matches.

Having said all of that..... Walton in goal is a major surprise and no sign of Collins. If it works, he's a genius; it it doesn't he's Morais in disguise. He obviously trusts the side he has ut out and I bet that QPR are stunned. COYR.

The word curveball comes to mind. This is going to be either a stroke of genius or Struber is going to come out of the tunnel with his underpants on his head, two knitting needles in his nostrils, occasionally uttering the word "wibble".

Strange one really with everyone knocking the team he has picked. Would everyone prefer he picked the team that had us bottom of the league ?

Fair play, worked well first half and we deserved to be 2 up, holding on a bit in the second half, although QPR didn't actually threaten the goal too much - gives us hope I believe they still believe we can stay up!

He is. That's obvious to anyone who can see without the negative glasses blocking their view.

It's amazing how we all know what's best. We know NOTHING :)
