Drove past about an hour ago’ about half dozen or so males stood and sat in front of memorial. No-one else in sight. I can sleep easy knowing these folk are protecting the memorial that err no- one wants to damage.

Protecting it = hoping for someone black to come past so they can hurl abuse at them while drinking tins of fosters, I assume. Ingerlund.

There’ll dearly want opposition so they then become relevant in their little world .
They need to tell someone all lives matter .

Well, without wanting to stereotype, If you’ve seen the recent news coverage of the people that were attacking police and stood near Churchill’s statue, this lot wouldn’t look out of place. They were drinking from cans but not sure if it was alcohol or not

There was a BLM protest in Lincoln yesterday and as they walked past the memorial there was a group of around 50 blokes around it. There was someone filming it live on a phone making comments expecting something to happen. Credit to everyone involved, the march was peaceful and the blokes at the memorial clapped them in respect as they went past.

A few assumptions being made off the back of someone driving past the town hall

Unless there has been a shift change since I walked past around two, at least a couple of the incumbents are well known bench dwellers around town. One lad was mixed race as well so it might have been a BLM protest around a memorial that no one wants to deface.

What I've seen this weekend is images of some ex soldiers (mainly) stood protecting monuments and statues while respecting, applauding and shaking hands with the genuine peaceful protesters. This is exactly what protesting should be - making your point in a lawful, peaceful way when two groups can stand together and respect each other. Not a hint of trouble, at least in the images that I've seen.

The football lads, Robinson, the far right, the far left, ANTIFA black bloc and any other vile extremists looking for trouble should take note and know they are not wanted, won't be tolerated and won't be allowed to hijack and derail the protests.

Excellent post, MK, but 'ANTIFA', we should remind everyone, is not an organisation. It's not a group. It doesn't have members. It's just a **** abbreviation of 'anti-fascism' - a movement, a belief, a way of thinking that played a pivotal role in defeating Hitler and fascism last century. If you're 'anti-' this ANTIFA thing, then by default, you support fascism. It's been adopted by dumb ****s everywhere who wrongly think they're continuing that fight.

I know which horse I'm backing.

Yep, I'm talking about the extreme elements, the black bloc crew who think violence is acceptable. The people who want to cause trouble and confront any ideology that differs from theirs with violence. Them and the far right are two ends of the same cancerous horseshoe; both intolerant, violent, mindless thugs who have no place in civilised society.

Did all that mean you're either a fascist or you're not?

Which might be a bit simpler to understand.
