    Multiple stabbings in a hotel used to accomodate asylum seekers during pandemic.

    Three dead including the suspect who was killed by armed police.

    Unconformed reports of a suspicious package leading to road closers and that the hotel was being monitored by Anti Terror police.

    Reports of 6 others including a police office injured, no doubt they'll be the usual suspects along shortly justifying the perpetrators actions and criticizing the police for their over zealous action

    I have never seen anyone on here justifying terrorists attacks ( if that is what it is) trying to understand why people do such things and getting more perspective is very different from justifying perpetrators. Notice the op is on the ball with this one as per.

    This is tragic on three levels:

    1. The totally stupid, callous & pointless loss of life.

    2. The fact that other genuine asylum seekers may be treated with scorn, racism, or worse due to the actions of a a tiny minority.

    3. The fact that the same people keep bringing these things up on this board when it is not a caucasian. No comment on here about the white 17 year old that dropped a 6 year old off a balcony of the Tate Modern?

    Latest report seems to suggest that there are six people being treated for stab wounds one of whom
    is a Policeman and that the knifeman is the only fatality after he was shot by police marksmen.

    Did you read the article? It suggests that reports of another 2 people being dead is unfounded sincerely hope that's the case.

    Sources had suggested two other people died at the hotel, which is currently housing asylum seekers. In fact it appears only the suspect was killed.

    I hope so, it all seems unclear from different reports. It is a tragic situation in any case. I'm totally at a loss why anyone could do this. What is doubly tragic is how this is spun into a hate agenda.

    Still appears just the perpetrator died John. Not seen an hate agenda. So assume you must mean twa77er. Steer clear of that social media format missen. Ought to be shut down when it becomes poisonous.

    You know what, no I'm not I'm currently at a very low dark place, suffered for more years than I can remember with bouts of depression and this one is a particularly bad one, my current personal situation as made me question if it's worth carrying on as everywhere I look this world's not a nice place so why fight to stay in a place that makes me sad every single day
    I know you weren't asking in a nice way but there you go

    Sorry to hear you are not feeling ok. I think this whole COVID situation has got everyone feeling fearful. But you know, the world is a beautiful place, yes there's some scummy human beings but there are far more decent ones of every nationality.

    I’ve been to some very low places, I’ve had far too many moments in my life where I’ve questioned this and that. It’s always there. Depression affects more folk than folk care to admit. Talking is always the cure, even if it’s temporary.
