So they are becoming mandatory..... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-53252760 Seems rather late after over three months. Have supermarket staff who have worked without them since March been catching Covid? It looks like another nail in the coffin for non essential shops to make people keep ordering online.
The supermarket cashiers have been behind perspex screens. Masks were always a good idea, the government just rubbished them because there wasn't enough for the NHS.
Supermarket staff have caught while working and sadly passed away from the virus. As have a lot of people. A mask will reduce the risk that will happen to more. Yet another heartless post by yourself. Shame.
Those filling the shelves haven't been though. People will have no choice but to do it in supermarkets because that's how they eat by doing a weekly shop. But there would be no point non essential shops being open.
I agree dreamboy. I’d have been happier with face masks being compulsory as soon as lock down was implemented. Still Nicola has been great In guiding Scotland through this epidemic and has seen our infection rate continue to decrease. I personally have been wearing a face covering for a few weeks now. Both for my benefit and the benefit of others. Sorry but a don’t see your reasoning over face masks being detrimental to non essential shops. IMO it’s all about staying Covid free and basically alive.
Facemasks are mandatory here in Singapore except when you are eating or drinking or running/cycling It was annoying to start with, but once you get ueed to it , it really isnt a big deal
