People will have to take an ID card with them and give their phone no. to the landlord for if someone as the virus in the pub, the landlord will not have time to serve beer for taking notes.
It's going to be fun for taxi drivers trying to enforce the mandatory wearing of a face covering when they are taking drunks home late at night.
I've asked a few about whether ID will need to be shown and some have just stated 'name and phone number'. Perhaps it's mainly only the pub chains with apps that have this more rigid requirement? Doesn't appear to be the case with local independant pubs. (I'm not going out BTW).
What happens when in a month or so pubs being open for 4 weeks hasn't seen a spike just like no second wave for the bank holidays, packed public transport, busy beaches, BLM marches, Liverpool league winner celebrates etc? It will be all the more reason to get back to old normal.
Spoke to owner of mount today and he said that’s what he’s been instructed to do. Also no sports to be shown at all Originally they could show sports but without volume
If you analyse the data, new infections stopped decreasing and flat-lined for a couple of weeks around the time of the packed beaches and protests. The pub thing has greater potential to cause problems as there's simply more of them and there's indoor elements. Just as there are clusters in certain food factories, there will be hits where there is poor compliance and even more when people become complacent.
Hopefully opening pubs won't cause problems but Boris made it clear at his New Deal speech earlier this week that he wants old normal back as soon as it's safe enough. My guess would be August so the government have a month to monitor old life being back before the schools all open with compulsory attendance and no social distancing. They won't want kids and teachers to be the guinea pigs of that.
Our local will have a ballet box style thing. We are asked to write name and number on a piece of paper before entering, to save all that and people not using same pen etc. He will seal it and save and label them incase needed and replace each day.
One of neighbours who works in a pub got it wrong this morning . He was asked to bring a PPE kit and turned up in T shirt Shorts and pumps.
