Thinking about it for the rest of the season, starting with today v Stoke. Is it worth it? Genuine replies only pleas.
It was better than I thought it would be if that helps. If i hadnt got the pass anyway witn being a season ticket holder I think I would have paid to watch the last matches.
Yes and no The commentary is excellent and fits very well with the video so it's not like you think you're listening to radio commentary and TV images if that makes sense. The camera work is good. There did seem to be more angles etc at the qpr game than our home games though which seemed to focus on the one traditional west stand camera a little too much for my liking. When the angles switch it makes it all seem more professional, when it stays static it's more like watching the highlights for 90 minutes but overall it's not bad. I find that when it works the picture quality is excellent But I have quite a few problems with buffering, juddering etc and for the qpr game it just failed spectacularly for 15 minutes and customer service doesn't exist. They say it does but it's absolutely appalling and I'm honestly surprised they haven't been closed down for breaching many rules and regs such as refusing refunds, not providing a service, continuing to take payments etc. I'd say when it works it's great. When it has problems you may as well throw your money away so I guess it depends on how much it costs and how patient you are with any problems
If you buy a subscription then you’ll only get match commentary and I’m not sure when your subscription will end (possibly end of this season?). You could buy a £10 match pass for today’s game and then you get video too and you can see what you think about the quality. Sent you PM.
As a ST holder, I'm enjoying having iFollow access more than I expected. Partly that's because we've managed to connect via HDMI to our telly (I watched the QPR game on my notebook and gave myself a thick head for the rest of the evening). I like the commentator although I sometimes wonder if he's watching the same game as me. e.g. There was a clear backpass to the keeper in one match, but he couldn't see what Brown was appealing for. My main grumble is quality. It's watchable, but not great. On the occasions when I've bought a one day NowTV pass, the picture quality is much better. In this day and age, there's no reason why iFollow should be any worse.
