Going through his full seasons as coach there in 2016/17 he made them a profit of 1.46 million..... https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bri...98/plus/0?saison_id=2016&pos=&detailpos=&w_s= 2017-18 a negative of 9.12 million....... https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bri...98/plus/0?saison_id=2017&pos=&detailpos=&w_s= 2018-19 a profit of 17.42 million...... https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bri...98/plus/0?saison_id=2018&pos=&detailpos=&w_s= 2019-20 a profit of 14.14 million........ https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bri...98/plus/0?saison_id=2019&pos=&detailpos=&w_s= 23.9 million pound profit on players he's made them in that time to help pay for the ground renovations, whilst expected to challenge for the premier league even though he's had his team constantly have to be rebuilt after having his better players sold such as Kodjia, Ayling, Tomlin, Reid, Flint, Bryan, Magnusson, Webster, Kelly and Brownhill. If he'd been able to keep hold of the majority of those ten players instead of being a selling club to pay for the new stand then he'd probably still be in a job and maybe in the premier league. He's still only 39 and he's done pretty well for himself and won't struggle to find another championship level club.
I'm about to ***** over his ability to balance Bristol City's books and jizz all over my screen marveling over his coaching prowess.
As long as he doesnt come back here - which thankfully is unlikely under the current owners I cant say I care either way. Amazed he lasted so long

Do you think he's been some sort of disaster for Bristol City? When you think of contenders for automatic promotion to the Premier League, do you think of Bristol? Do you think that balancing the books ought to be something to be ignored, or should all Barnsley's competitiors be allowed to spend what they like? Where does this dislike come from? Unless you think Hecky was a genius, LJ left us with a side fit for promotion. Why slag him off?
Flint and Ayling as CBs with Bryan at full back. Kodjia and Bobby Reid up front and Brownhill in behind. Clean sheets and goals galore, but all taken from him. He's paid the price for the owner cashing in.
That makes a pretty bad day a little bit better. Good. He's a snake, and a fraud. (If he did end up back with us, I'd be trying to get the season ticket refunded.)
When you look back at our squad in that League 1 season it's hard to fathom how he had us bottom in December.
It's not like Steve Landsdowne needed to cash in either. I'm sure I saw somewhere that's he's worth £2billion.
