No wanting to jump on the bandwagon of negativity and personal attacks on individuals after todays showing even though it could be claimed it was warranted
    ...
Whilst watching the game on my phone I had to laugh when catching the screen as the final whistle blew and I kid you not...The Google microphone symbol popped up with the following comment
    "say something like"
    TAKE THE RUBBISH OUT.....
    I thought how apt... Pmsl

I got hammered before the game for questioning his selection when he has brought nothing since he came, were are those people now who think he is decent?

I don’t think I’ve ever seen him win a 50-50 which is kind of something a work horse midfielder should be decent at. He just looks like a bad version of Perkins to me. Like in Perkins third season with us when his legs were going & he wasn’t as effective.

I can see the argument for someone to play alongside Mowatt in midfield who also contributes defensively but he doesn’t really do it does he? If he isn’t going to then we’d be as well playing Styles or Bahre who will offer little off the ball but at least have some quality on it.

He must have something about him. He played in the Europa League in some creditable performances against Roma I believe and B Monchengladbach. Yet he's shown nothing at all here

Some players just take a long time to settle at a new club, never mind in a new country. A certain Ronnie Glavin didn’t look anything special in his early days. I’m sure that if the internet had been in play then people would have been saying he’s from the Scottish league, therefore sub-standard, and that he looks unfit and over weight.

    Look how that turned out!

I like the idea that he just needs time but when struber brought him in he was the "experience" we needed. He has been here since the January window and I've seen nothing to say given time he will come good. And on the subject of give him time were in the bottom 3 with 5 games left time is something we dont have so we cant afford passengers in the hope they could come good.

Solbauer has a good un at side of him in Anderson cos that lad takes most of the flak for defensive **** ups. Yesterday the amount of times Solbauer played the ball square for Anderson to play the ball forward when he could have done so himself was truly remarkable. For me Solbauer is one of those statistic players who plays the easy ball in any direction , but it makes his pass completion rates look good.

He slows the game down and lets the opposition get back into shape, but that is what Struber wants as well. That`s alreight if we are leading and sitting pretty but not in a relegation scrap when are a couple darn.

    IMO

    My observation on the commentary.
    "This is so unlike Barnsley"
How many games as he watched.
Our Defense was like normal buiseness as been resumed.

Anderson has been good in the 3 games prior to stoke but there's a reason he kops for the flack, again like we have seen all season he made a error which cost the 2nd goal after that in the 1st half his head went and he had a mare. If he could cut the howlers out of his game he would be a good defender but they just keep happening.

Not arguing abart Anderson or sticking up for him he is poor with the ball at feet but his **** ups would make anyone at the side of him look better and Solbauer is being seen as some kind of brilliant defender when he his average at best and likes to point out others frailties with his finger pointing, where was Solbauer for the 3rd, dancing out of play with their defender.

I agree that the timing is not good in our particular circumstances but you can see why the manager thought he was worth the risk. Same risk with Sollbauer and look at the abuse that HE got in his first couple of games. Luckily he quickly got over his wobble and came good. Ritzmaier will obviously take longer and, who knows, may be the star of our midfield next season, wherever that may be.

One question for me though is what is his best position? Whatever it is he is clearly not playing in it at the moment. He was poor yesterday - of course he was - but so were his colleagues, all over the field. I've not seen us look as clueless as that for a while. Whenever we had the ball the player went no more than two steps before a Stoke man was on him. We were either instantly tackled or they allowed our man to run into a blind alley. We really needed that experienced man in the middle to just put a foot on the ball when safe to do so and THINK about a pass instead of just hoping for the best. Stoke crowded us out of the game and they physically bullied us out of it as well. So many sneaky fouls went unpunished but, apart from that, we just didn't look strong enough.

He meant so unlike the Barnsley of the last few weeks, obviously.

By the way, it's defence not the American version :)
