Its absolutely crucial we get through the summer for the tourism industry. If we were to lockdown again or had carried on as some wanted it would be devastating on a level it's hard to imagine. The damage is already horrific, business killed and lives ruined. It just seems if you even mention these consequences you are somehow saying you don't care people have died.

If anyone gets to Perranporth and goes to the watering hole in the beach try the Jubel peach beer. It's my favourite drink but you can only buy it from Sainsbury's up here.
Going to Bude on the 18th then down to St Agnes the following week. Hope the weather picks up.

Not too far from you. I'm between St Cleer and Minions. I cycle through Crafthole occasionally when I want to do a ride along the south coast road.

Cornwall has one 24 hour Emergency hospital for a normal population of over 560,000 people (Royal Cornwall in Truro). With the influx of tourists in summer, it wouldn't take many infected people to tip the balance into a full-blown emergency situation with no capacity to treat those requiring it.

Yes, they need the tourism and the jobs, but they probably also like to live.

There aren't many better breweries than St Austell in this country. Tribute is iconic and consistent, especially in a St Austell pub, and Proper Job is just a phenomenal beer. Korev is a great lager too.

Was a sad day when Roger Ryman passed suddenly just a few weeks ago. He turned that brewery and company around when he brewed Tribute.

So if hospital admissions start to rise lock the area down and everyone who is a tourist can head home. It's not like wes are talking about a bug where healthy people are I instantly in intensive care when they become ill.
    Surely we have to try?

By the time the hospital is overrun, its too late. And the entire point of the lockdown was that infectious people didn't use places, like motorway services, trains, pubs, etc where they can infect others.
