I do agree Woodrow is out of sorts. But needs to be up front. His work rate off the ball tracking back and making a nuisance contributes. Him and Chaplin up front.
Bring in Styles to start instead of Ritzmeir. Halme in front of the back 4.

That sounds like a plan to me. Creativity has been our weak point in all 4 games really (3 consecutive clean sheets being the key to two wins & a goaless draw). With few chances created it becomes harder for the strikers & they are more likely to drift out of position in the aim of getting on the ball. We do need more height at the back & Halme did well in the holding role before. A set of fresh legs defending the back 3/4, whatever we go with sounds a good idea. Like many, Ritzmaier has failed to convince me he is going to make it in the English game, a bit like Schmidt & Bahre, they don't seem quite up to the cut & thrust. Put them in a game played on the continent at a slower pace & they may all look decent. It now a time to fight for everything. Luton will be ready for a fight, as the loser will be left with an awful lot to do to get out of the bottom 3 & draws really are not that much use either. 3 wins & we'll be OK, all be it a very difficult task.

Why don't we give the lad the benefit of doubt... Could it be he's carrying an injury and due to the fact a half fit Woodrow is still miles ahead of anybody else we have at the club and yet he's carrying on like a Terry butcher clone.....

Woodrow has been playing up front until the last game & has looked poor there in my opinion.

We looked our best going forward with Mowatt on the left of the diamond, with Woodrow behind the strikers & Brown & Chaplin up top.

I don’t believe we should’ve gone away from that system.

I’m surprised to see people calling for a Woodrow & Chaplin partnership up front. It didn’t work for me earlier in the season as both of them like to be the striker that drops deep & plays off another striker so they end up running into the same space. Neither of them are good in the air & neither like running in behind. It make it even worse when we play as a diamond as you’ve then got 3 players wanting to be in that number 10 position

Exactly that. Most great strikers are good at one thing - scoring. Woodrow is in that class of player for me. Until this mini slump recently which I’m sure he wants to put right too.

You can tell the madness has started to set in when people start suggesting Bahre should be in the team.

Why? Outside of Mowatt & Woodrow has anyone else at the club done enough to hold down a midfield position?

Bahre’s no worse than Ritzmaier & Thomas in my opinion

    I
I’d rather have Bahre than either of those two.

    Bahre is better than both.

That’s not to say I’m a huge fan, he’s never pulled any trees up, but with the squad we have, he’d be in front of Ritz and Thomas for me.

At least he can control a ball and find a teammate with a five yard pass.
