Oxford for me - play the game like it should be played - Wycombe's brand of thuggish cheating doesn't deserve rewarding, and Ainsworth's a bit of tool as well. Come to think of it, come on Wycombe! If they win we won't have to play them next season.
Our championship place about to be replaced by a team that was happy to **** on other teams in the same league. They agreed to curtail the season but not happy to agree to no promotion or relegation.
I would have preferred Oxford to go up as I genuinely believe they will be a real contender for the top 2 next season. I don't think Wycombe would have been anywhere near the top 6 (should they not have been promoted) but fair play to Ainsworth, not pretty to watch but done a cracking job on such a limited budget.
Very frustrating isn't it? I thought if we could somehow survive this season then given everything that's happened we could flourish over the next couple of seasons as a lot of teams look to balance the books and reduce spending. Perhaps more of an even playing field but as you say we won't be there to take advantage.
Oxford could be skint next season havent they had financial trouble for the past 12 months and narrowly avoided relegation the season before this.
Ah, don't know about financial problems pal but you could be right. They finished 12th last season on 60 points.
If it's any consolation, I'm sure Sunderland, Ipswich, Bolton and Portsmouth fans are thinking the same atm...
Well the finished 3rd were in the top two most of the season and have just won the play offs so I think they deserve to be in the championship next season. And reason why you think not?
