I prefer watching us win games, no matter the league.

Nudger, I think you’ve accidentally posted 3 unrelated opening posts in the same thread.

of course we’re ******* bothered, otherwise what’s the point?

Why do you think L1 might not play?

I'll never understand that. Surely if that's the objective it's better to deliberately get relegated to the conference and win every week

Don't think they'll be able to afford it without fans

An honest answer at a wind up question (not yours, the OP):

BFC aren't brilliant. We're punching above our weight for our finances, but not our history. However history doesn't mean anything in today's game, as we often tell fans of MASSIVE clubs.

So we're destined to pick off scraps on the championship, and probably yo-yo Champ-L1 for the foreseeable, unless there's some financial investment.

Some clubs do this, and some don't. A lot of it is unservicable, and ours wouldn't be (see wages:turnover ratios and the like, Wigan are a glaring example). If we went wrong, or got caught foul, we'd be Bury-d (pun intended).

So, I think a lot of fans (particularly ones who don't post on here) don't mind us going down. So long as we don't try to shoot for the moon and end up in hot water like many other clubs could soon find themselves in, so long as there's a BFC to watch on a Saturday with your mates or your family, have a couple of pints before or after or not, it'll be reyt.

Doesn't matter if we're playing Altrincham or Chelsea, we'll still follow them. And lower leagues are better for away days.

Rambling answer, but that's what I think.

It's a nonsense. It's like saying we're better off in non league because we'll win more matches.
Can't wait for national league north, I think we'll smash it.

Relegation is a nightmare. For the owners it would be their second in just three years which is really bad. For us we will worry about the financial aspect of the club. Championship football is better for the economy of the town that needs it now more than ever. Today for example Forest would have sold out their allocation. Next season some clubs will struggle to bring 200 if away fans are allowed and we go down.

Hmm my thoughts were it would be the bigger clubs with far bigger wages and overheads that would suffer most.
This shutdown of fans will certainly have an impact on many clubs.

No team BELONGS in the Premeir.
    No team.
What supporters can hope for is that their club is in a good place.
Evidence since the lockdown suggests we are in a very good place.

I don’t want us to be fkin relegated!!
The Championship is the place to be for us, it has better teams attracts better players.
League 1 is getting to be a right b.stard to get out of and if the Championship gets to be more of a closed shop we might miss out.
Plus we have experience now and would adjust accordingly.

I just love watching a game of football whatever the division, and I have had more fabulous moments watching the Reds in League 1 than in any other league. We have never prospered in the Championship in recent years due to the massive financial gulf between us and the "big clubs"
I have suffered years of us struggling to survive and walking home from the ground despondent after yet another defeat.
Why the hell are fans obsessed with getting to the Championship or Premiership?
I go to watch me team play and hopefully win-that's all, have a few beers before, meet the lads , have a sing song, absorb that feeling of belonging and comradeship during the game.
There's nothing better than walking back into town after watching a Reds victory...I couldn't care less if it was in the Vanarama league.
    That feeling is priceless
    My view anyway

Yes I will be. I'd choose the championship over league one every day of the week. I'll accept relegation but I will be bothered especially as the damage done to us since we won promotion has all been self inflicted.

In the Premier League and to a lesser degree the championship, it will actually help. The vast majority of income in those leagues comes from TV. Nobody at games = More watching on TV.

In League 1 and below, the majority of income is matchday revenue.

I would love Barnsley to be back in the Premeir.
But - I’d rather see Barnsley in a good place than being in the Premeir League.

    So what’s a ‘good place’?
It’s being able to look at the team and know there is a bright future.
I / we - never had that with Patrick - we knew for every ridge there would soon follow a furrow.
That’s not the case with the current crop of playera at the club.

Tbh I personally have not enjoyed any of the crowd less games. Even this Chelsea Man U game to me is not attracting me.
Do you really think people will pay money to watch this soulless football?
    I wouldn’t.

    I'm so confused.
    This is the championship
Employees of the club have lost their jobs.
There is strong speculation of closing out academy or even going into administration.

I'm not sure where you get talk of the premier from or evidence that the club is in a good place and I still don't understand how any of it translates to not being bothered about being relegated to the weaker league below

I suppose that depends on the large amount of things you considered a furrow with Patrick but refuse to acknowledge are furrows with our current owners.
