For my mind Mowatt & Cauley WILL move on, whatever happens with the wigan appeal. We'll no way match other clubs offers. We just need to make sure we get a bloody good price for two excellent championship players. If Wigan win the appeal I fear a few more may go.

If we invest wisely, instead of a scattergun approach & give these young lads a chance, like Palmer & Styles, we can afford to lose them IMO, we'll always sell players & we always have.

Fair point. Should be new money in any club purchase. But then we do live in a world of leveraged buyouts. Theft in other words.

There has never been a scattergun approach.
Each player brought in is discussed and discussed and discussed again.
The approach was to build a foundation of young players and that’s what the directors did.
Those young players (especially Styles) are already as good if not better than Mowatt.
Let’s see how things progress next season.
Obviously I’ll be here to remind one or two of you about Mowatt.

I’ll maintain that Mowatt is a good 1st Division player.
    He’s not Championship.
He will run all day but has no speed.
    Average in the tackle.
Often needs 3 or 4 touches before releasing the ball i.e. slow to release the ball.
Large percentage of passes go astray.
If you don’t believe me - watch a replay of one of the past few matches.

Well on the bright side your post is not racist and doesn’t mention Hecky.
