Which tall donkey would you like us to buy for up top to smash balls up to?
Eaves sounds about the best bet for that if that’s the type of football you want to watch.

I don't always agree with nudger but I can see the logic behind his molby thinking .. Molby whilst never the fastest was excellent in breaking up play and his footballing brain did the work needed and covered for his lack of pace... be that the short pass or picking out a long ball.. So I don't think with that type of player we'd be playing hoof ball as you suggest..
What I'd say is we need an older head in the midfield someone who breaks up play puts a foot on the ball when needed but yet can release the ball quicker for the young to run around all day
So nudges suggestion of a molby type would be a good example of the type we need... Someone with aggression not scared of a tackle or putting a foot or his head in where it hurts

YN is also being perfectly sensible about his Mowatt comments. I can't understand the belittling and condescension. He (and me) is in a minority re: Mowatt but I think some on here use that to take the piss and ridicule. His views are perfectly sound on the issue of Mowatt. If people don't agree then they should make appropriate counter points. instead of simply calling YN a wum or other meaningless phrases. YN's previous posts are irrelevant if he's trying to make a well argued point.

I rate Mowatt and I think he was rightly voted as player of the season however he does have weaknesses. His dead balls are rubbish but the rest of his play makes up for it.

We do need some better players to be competitive at this level but I wouldn't be rushing to replace Mowatt as he is championship quality and will probably benefit from having better players around him.

Fair enough if you think so. I'd tend to disagree. Hey ho though...
