    Because if they only have a year and they refuse to extend then they will leave.

    To the best of my knowledge, the dates I included are the season where the contract ends, i.e. currently, Mowatt is only here for the coming season.

    We have to move a few more on before we start bringing in , Victor for one , likeable lad, but he struggled in division one & I know this will be controversial, but I would look to loan out Thomas

    Just shows what a state the squad is in, far too many bang average players. I like Thomas and don't think wev seen the best of him, has also been played out of position for the majority of the season aswel. Loan moves for a few players would be a good shout but only if we are bringing in better quality in those positions.

    Think about how much off the wage bill with departures.

    Wilks, Mcgeehan, Radlinger, Pinillos, Thiam, Cavare and Dougall.

    If each were on £5k per week (sure some on more) that's £35k per week saved or £1.82mil which ever way you look at it.

    Plus recieved fees for at least Wilks and Mcgeehan. No idea what but more funds back in the coffers.

    None were regulars last year. I hope this will pave the way for us to bring in 2-3 first team ready players.

    How much do we need to keep the club going? There is still quite a large squad to pay plus backroom staff and there will be no gate receipts for the foreseeable future. As the club is run as a business it will be interesting to see the level of recruitment between now and September.

    I thought Mowatt had been offered our option of a contract extension.

    Not seen anywhere that he has signed up to it.

    Option to extend in the club's favour IIRC. Which obviously we'll take up, if only to sell him for decent money. The offer he's weighing up is an extended deal beyond that.
