He's bound to have matured and is probably a better player than when we had him on loan. However given that he's been playing for Peterborough in League One, you would question whether he can cut it in the Championship and more to the point, is he really worth £10 million.? Personally I doubt it. If as a full Wales international , Kieffer left Wigan for Cardiff for £1.5 million you might be compelled to say that Toney would realistically be at around that price.? All we can say is that we are going to find out in the not too distant future.
Only as good as the players around him, at brentford I think he'l score goals. Or at the very least have plenty of chances!
Ivan Toney is a better athlete than Kieffer Moore though - in my opinion anyway. A better all round footballer and coming in to his prime at 24 years old. Is he worth £6 million rising to £10 million? Not sure. I remember Waghorn going to Derby for £7 million and thinking that was a mental signing. I'd rather have Toney, and in a better team it's likely he'll be a better player
Not really the best example to use. Wigan are desperate for the cash and need to sell ASAP. Peterborough are in a better position to negotiate a good deal for themselves.
