Blades have made offers for Mowatt. Reading’s wage bill is 2 x their turnover. I’ve never been fond of Reading but to keep losing to them when they are so poor, and spending so much money is really annoying.

I was surprised. I think they have let better players leave SUFC. I like Mowatt, but he has his limitations and should be nowhere near set pieces.
I understood the commentary differently. They were talking about the Reading midfielder John Swift (whom Sheffold Yoonighted have made a bid for), then said something about Mowatt, and then continued to talk about Swift. I didn't get the impression that The Pigs had bid for Mowatt - but I could be wrong.
If the blunts are serious he would be silly to turn down a chance to play in the top league. I'll be gutted if he leaves, especially as we look to be struggling to get points in the league at the moment. He was a major part in keeping our positivity last season imo, we need his passion and experience, it wont be easy to replace
I used to love Mowatt when he was at Leeds. Bursting in on goal n' spanking em' into top corner from 18 yards before keeper moved. When we signed him I nearly came in my pants but he's been a massive disappointment in a Barnsley shirt. Does the basics but not much more.
Must admit, at the time I was thinking to myself "Did I hear that right"? Can't see why they would want Mowatt.
I could also be wrong with my interpretation. I wasn't listening to it that closely. I am generally doing other things when the radio is on, and only give it my undivided attention when the commentator's voice starts to become excited. I guess we'll see!
