From the sound of it the best financial advice would be to open your own caravan park and let the money roll in!

A positive amongst many negatives. Got to admit I considered getting one and studied all the pros and cons. The cons winning. But there are plenty out there who practically live in em during the season.
My bro bought a villa in Spain . Probably the price of a top end Static. Lived there around 3/4 months of the year. Visiting when he liked . Renting it out via a letting agency. Cleaner involved to keep it spick n span. The rent covering most of the site charges. Sold it recently after approx 15/20 years. Didn’t make much but recouped more than he paid.

Unfortunately not... it's about 2 foot away from the Lincolnshire border (in fact I would guess that half the site is actually in lincolnshire).

We had one in Scotland on a Haven Site - fees were a massive money pit. They give you all the speil about getting it back by renting it out but it goes nowhere covering the site fees

Once again guys thanks for all info.....like I said previously I've passed info on....its her decision now
Some of the horror stories and after sales tactics I had previously encountered when my dad died and we got a pittance for his caravan in skeggness.. all of which I have informed her about ....he was one of the longest members on the Richmond drive site and had been reassured more than once if anything happened to him the family would be able to continue and take over his pitch due to no age limit re the vans that was until we came to actually do it....then it was a case of sorry the van age limit only applies whilst the owner was living....followed by you can keep the actual pitch but you will have to pay for a new van at xxxx price due to it being in a prime location.....these are the Van's on offer to you .....honestly I could have bought a detached property for the said asking price...needless to say we the family gave the pitch up .
It all became clear why we were treated so ....when 3/4 months later we visited the site and a Havens caravan stood in its place....along with others in its row and area
Personally I've had many a happy time over the years in caravans but have had no actual buying experience with the site owners.....
My personal thoughts are in line with others put your money into bricks and mortar....
I've shown her the responses ......shes gone away to think it over......hopefully she will make the right decision for her

Thanks once again for your time and replies much appreciated
